The History of the Milwaukee Brewers.
Baseball in Milwaukee has a very long and old history. The Milwaukee Brewers were one of the first American League teams but after one season they moved to Saint Louis. For a period of time Milwaukee did not have a major league team. It wasn't until 1953 moved the Braves from Boston to Milwaukee, but the team moved to Atlanta, Georgia after thirteen seasons. Milwaukee was without a team for another six years until the Seattle Pilots relocated to Milwaukee. In 1970 Bud Selig bought the time and named it the Brewers it was at county stadium were they played their first season, and it was very disappointing. Until home Run King Hank Aaron returned to Milwaukee. Even with Hank the time was still a disappointment. In 1978 Bud Selig hired a new manager that turned the team around with a winning record. In the early 1980s the Brewers did not do so well. In 1982 the Brewers won the pennant and advanced to the world sires but lost. But for most of the 1980s the Brewers struggled. Even through the 1990s the Brewers struggled being a distant highlight in the American League. However the Brewers switched to the National league and did some what better. In 1999s during the building a crane crashed and killed four workers and delayed the opening of Miller Park. In 2001 Miller Park opened as the new stadium. In 2007 the Brewers went to the World Series but did not win. But with new talent the Brewers have been doing much better with players like Jonatan Lucroy and many more good players.
